John Beesley founded Weybridge Publishing in 1980 as a vehicle to promote his interest in Small Business and the idea that everyone should have more than one income stream. In general, he believes in mutual ownership of business both large and small.
For 20 years he published two books:
*
Small Business Start Up Manual
*
Business Profitability Data (yearly edition)
A few of these books are still available for those interested in such matters,
In early 2009, at the height of public concern over the financial crisis, his friend Bill Baldwin persuaded him to write up his version of what went wrong. It is difficult to explain the whole mess without delving into the history of economic and social ideas. In the last 30 years America has badly gone off track. It will take a very radical change in attitudes to put it back on track. He is concerned about the future of both the USA and the UK. He totally dismisses the notion that both countries have to reduce their standard of living to compete in the global market place.
John Beesley is British born and has lived in the US for over 40 years during which time he worked for a variety of US Corporations. He started several small enterprises and currently has ongoing business interests.
